Webside is an online platform to be able to collaborate in writing code in different Smalltalk dialects.
Brand Identity
There are two key concepts that we focused on while developing Webside's identity:
On the one hand, we have the idea of coding, programming, specifically in Smalltalk.
On the other hand, there's the idea of being able to unite a variety of different languages and dialects in one place.
This is why we started thinking about the idea of braces {
At the same time, we started really noticing the shape of the character itself:
After some modifications, the brace reminds us of the w in webside.

It also resembles the form of an open book, the place where languages are stored.
For the name, we wanted to go with a broadly available and readable font that would be easy to use in any medium and carry on the idea of simplicity. We went with Verdana Regular.

We maintained the minimal feel that the platform offered, but inserted a bit of color to highligh the s that reminds us of Smalltalk.
The shape also resembles the form of an open book, the place where languages are stored.
